EASY VEGETABLE PIE







Prep Time: 20 min
Total Time: 1 hour 5 min
Makes: 6 servings

INGREDIENTES

2 cups chopped broccoli or sliced fresh cauliflowerets
1/3 cup chopped onion
1/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
1/2 cup Original Bisquick® mix
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 eggs

PROCEDIMIENTO

1. Heat oven to 400ºF. Grease 9-inch pie plate. Heat 1 inch salted water to boiling in medium saucepan. Add broccoli; cover and heat to boiling. Cook about 5 minutes or until almost tender; drain thoroughly. Stir together cooked broccoli, onion, bell pepper and cheese in pie plate.

2. Stir remaining ingredients until blended. Pour into pie plate.

3. Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 5 minutes.

PANCAKE ROLL-UPS

INGREDIENTES

12 fully cooked turkey sausage links
2 cups Fiber One™ Complete pancake mix (from 28.3-oz box)
1 1/2 cups cold water
Powdered sugar, if desired
1 cup maple-flavored syrup

PROCEDIMIENTO



1. Cook sausages as directed on package. Cover to keep warm.

2. Meanwhile, make pancakes as directed on box, using 2 cups pancake mix and 1 1/2 cups water.

3. Wrap each pancake around a sausage; place seam side down on serving platter. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with maple syrup.

EASY PUMPKIN PIE

INGREDIENTES

1 cup canned pumpkin (not pumpkin pie mix)
1/2 cup Original Bisquick® mix
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup evaporated milk
1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 eggs
Whipped topping, if desired

PROCEDIMIENTO

1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Grease 9-inch pie plate.

2. Stir all ingredients except whipped topping until blended. Pour into pie plate.

3. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 30 minutes. Refrigerate about 3 hours or until chilled. Serve with whipped topping. Store covered in refrigerator.

EASY HAM'N SWISS PIE

INGREDIENTES

1 1/2 cups cubed fully cooked smoked boneless ham
1 cup shredded Swiss cheese (4 ounces)
1/4 cup chopped green onions or chopped onion
1/2 cup Original Bisquick® mix
1 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt, if desired
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 eggs
1 tomato, sliced
1 green bell pepper, cut into rings

PROCEDIMIENTO

1. Heat oven to 400ºF. Grease 9-inch pie plate. Sprinkle ham, cheese and onions in pie plate.

2. Stir Bisquick mix, milk, salt, pepper and eggs until blended. Pour into pie plate.

EASY ITALIAN SAUSAGE PIE

INGREDIENTES

1/2 lb bulk Italian pork sausage
2 cups Green Giant® Valley Fresh Steamers™ frozen mixed vegetables, thawed, well drained
1/2 cup Original Bisquick® mix
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 eggs

PROCEDIMIENTO

1. Heat oven to 400°F. Spray 9-inch glass pie plate with cooking spray. In 10-inch skillet, cook sausage over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until no longer pink; drain. Spread sausage in pie plate. Sprinkle with vegetables.

2. In medium bowl, stir remaining ingredients until blended. Pour into pie plate.

3. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until top is golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.

BREAKFAST WRAPS

INGREDIENTES

Wraps

3 cups sliced strawberries (about 1 1/2 pints)
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
1 teaspoon finely shredded lime peel
2 tablespoons lime juice
2 eggs


Filling

2/3 cup whipping cream
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
1 tablespoon finely shredded lime peel

PROCEDIMIENTO

1. In medium bowl, toss strawberries and 1/2 cup sugar; let stand at room temperature at least 20 minutes. Meanwhile, in separate medium bowl, mix flour, 1 tablespoon sugar, the baking powder and salt. Stir in milk, butter, 1 teaspoon lime peel, the lime juice and eggs. Beat with hand beater until smooth.

2. Lightly grease 6- to 8-inch skillet with butter. Heat over medium heat until bubbly. Pour batter by slightly less than 1/4 cupfuls into skillet. Immediately rotate skillet until thin layer of batter covers bottom. Cook until light golden brown. Run wide spatula around edge to loosen; turn and cook other side until light brown. Repeat with remaining batter, greasing skillet as needed. Stack wraps, placing waxed paper between each; cool completely.

3. Meanwhile, in chilled small bowl, beat whipping cream with electric mixer on high speed until stiff; set aside. In medium bowl, beat cream cheese on high speed until fluffy; stir in 1/2 cup sugar and 1 tablespoon lime peel. Gently stir in whipped cream.

4. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the filling down center of each wrap; fold sides over filling. To serve, place 2 wraps on each of 6 plates. Spoon strawberries over wraps.

ORANGE CREAM CHEESE BISCUITS

INGREDIENTES

3 cups Original Bisquick® mix
2 teaspoons grated orange peel
3/4 cup orange juice
1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons orange marmalade
Sugar

PROCEDIMIENTO

1. Heat oven to 450°F. Mix Bisquick mix, orange peel and orange juice until soft dough forms; beat vigorously 30 seconds.
Place dough on surface generously sprinkled with Bisquick mix; roll in Bisquick mix to coat. Knead 10 times.

2. Roll dough 1/2 inch thick. Cut with 2 1/2-inch cutter dipped in Bisquick mix. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Mix cream cheese and marmalade. Spoon about 1 teaspoon cream cheese mixture onto center of each circle; sprinkle with sugar.

3. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.

EASY CHEESE STICKS

INGREDIENTES

1 lb Monterey Jack, Cheddar, Swiss or mozzarella cheese, cut into 3x1/2-inch sticks
Vegetable oil
1 cup Original Bisquick® mix
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
Marinara sauce, if desired

PROCEDIMIENTO

1. Place cheese sticks on tray; freeze at least 1 hour.

2. Heat 2 inches of oil to 375ºF in large heavy saucapan or follow manufacturer's direction on deep fryer. Beat Bisquick mix, paprika, milk and egg until smooth. Dip cheese, 1 stick at a time, into batter, covering cheese completely.

3. Fry 8 to 10 sticks at a time 1 to 2 minutes, turning carefully, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Let stand 5 minutes before serving. Serve with marinara sauce.

CINNAMON BISCUITS FANS

INGREDIENTES

Biscuits

2 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup firm butter or margarine
3/4 cup milk
3 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon


Glaze

1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 to 3 teaspoons milk


PROCEDIMIENTO

1. Heat oven to 425ºF. Grease 8 regular-size muffin cups.
In large bowl, mix flour, 2 tablespoons granulated sugar, the baking powder and salt. Cut in firm butter using pastry blender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until mixture particles resemble fine crumbs. Stir in just enough milk so dough leaves side of bowl and forms a ball.

2. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface. Knead lightly 10 times. Roll into 12x10-inch rectangle. Spread 3 tablespoons butter over rectangle. Mix 3 tablespoons granulated sugar and the cinnamon; sprinkle over rectangle.
Cut rectangle crosswise into 6 (10x2-inch) strips. Stack strips; cut crosswise into 8 pieces. Place cut sides up in muffin cups.

3. Bake 16 to 18 minutes or until golden brown.
Immediately remove from muffin cups to cooling rack.

4. In medium bowl, mix all glaze ingredients until smooth and thin enough to drizzle. Drizzle over warm biscuits. Serve warm.

SAUSAGE CHEESE BALLS

Makes: About 8 1/2 dozen cheese balls

INGREDIENTES

3 cups Original Bisquick® mix
1 pound bulk pork sausage
4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese (16 ounces)
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary leaves, crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley or 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
Barbecue sauce or chili sauce, if desired

PROCEDIMIENTO

1. Heat oven to 350ºF. Lightly grease bottom and sides of jelly roll pan, 15 1/2x10 1/2x2x1 inch.

2. Stir together all ingredients, using hands or spoon.
Shape mixture into 1-inch balls. Place in pan.

3. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brown.
Immediately remove from pan. Serve warm with sauce for dipping.
High Altitude (3500-6500 ft) Heat oven to 375ºF. Decrease Bisquick to 2 1/2 cups; stir in 1/2 cup Gold Medal® all-purpose flour. Bake 25 to 30 minutes.

OLIVE CHEESE BALLS

Makes: 4 dozen appetizers

Ingredientes

2 cups shredded sharp natural Cheddar cheese (8 ounces)
1 1/4 cups Gold Medal® all-purpose flour
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
48 small pimiento-stuffed olives, drained and patted dry

Procedimiento

1. Stir together cheese and flour in large bowl.
Stir in butter thoroughly. (If dough seems dry, work with hands.)

2. Mold 1 teaspoon dough around each olive; shape into ball.
Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour but no longer than 24 hours.

3. Heat oven to 400ºF. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until light brown.

CINNAMON RAISIN BISCUITS

INGREDIENTES

2 cups Original Bisquick® mix
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup raisins
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
